Revolver Records now open in new location

Opened in Downtown McAdenville on Nov. 1st. Now in Soft Opening

by David Turner

You’ll now be able to get your Christmas music, along with just about every other genre, on vinyl from Christmas City, USA!

Formerly located on East Franklin Blvd. in Gastonia, Revolver Records announced in late Oct. they were moving. Whereas the Gastonia spot was in a prime location generally, the space was quite limiting and parking was a challenge. In downtown McAdenville, right beside the post office, what they might have traded off in visibility has been made up for in a number of ways.

There is definitely more overall space inside. They had maximized the space available to them on Franklin Blvd, but now you can see where are able to expand not only their new and used vinyl sections, but give additional room for cds, cassettes and audio equipment.

We also loved seeing local artwork on vintage memorabilia on display!

Vinyl has been having a resurgence over the last decade and especially in the last couple of years. This seems to be a sustainable phenomenon as not only are the older generations who remember the days of vinyl being the main method for listening to music, but younger people who have grown up in a world where millions of songs are available from their smart phone are now discovering all the value of physical media and the different experience they provide.

Revolver Records is one of only 2 independent record stores in Gaston County. The other is located in Eastridge Mall. You’ll want to visit VinylCarolina.com for more information on record stores across both Carolinas.

They are officially in what you’d call a soft opening. They are currently making plans for an official grand opening soon. We’ll be sure to post those details once they are announced.

Revolver Records is open Monday-Thursday Noon to 7pm, 10am-7pm on Friday and Saturday and Sunday Noon-5pm.

They are located at 109 Main St., McAdenville, NC 28101

You can learn more via their Facebook and Instagram pages as well as their store directory listing on VinylCarolina.com
