Restaurant Review: Cherubs Café

A local treasure for over 25 years in downtown Belmont, NC.

by Frank Pendleton

I have lived in Belmont for a long time now and never tried cherubs until this morning! The food was great, and I have to say as much as I love Waffle House (or go to during the week for breakfast) supporting cherubs feels better. It’s located on Main Street in down town Belmont across from The Bearded Buffalo.

It’s very Covid cautious which isn’t a plus or minus for us, but will be a huge plus for some. They require masks and even have some conveniently placed outside.

The food was excellent. The entire breakfast menu is kid friendly, but as you can see they have a smaller portion option for kids and seniors.

I got the crepes, one of each flavor. The Nutella banana being my personal favorite. The jumbo breakfast sandwich with all three meats. Both were excellent.

Came back for lunch and got it to go. Chicken salad sandwich, Rueben and California wrap. All were very good!

Happy Eating!
Love you all!
