Restaurant Review: Mama Poke Bowl

Mama poke is located in Belmont across from the high school next to Harris teeter. It’s owned by a relative to New China in Belmont next to the old Bi-Lo. It’s a poke bowl and Sushi burrito restaurant primarily in addition to hibachi and more traditional Chinese dishes.

 

The atmosphere feels like a chain, but it’s locally owned and operated. The food is great. I will say I feel like they go a little light on the meat, but it’s not unreasonable the up charge for extra protein. All in all it’s a neat little addition to the Gaston county sushi options.
