Illumination Foundation of North Carolina (IFNC) was founded in 2015, with the purpose of serving the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) population, as well as other populations experiencing social and environmental barriers in their communities. The founders wanted to create an organization that could give opportunities to teens and adults living with disabilities, emphasizing social programs and support for individuals and their families.
